No idea why I bough this

Well this is one of the products which you buy and at the end of the day you don't know the reason why you did it.
I was using this during my camping on Iceland motorbike trip in August/September.
If should be just silencer than yes its does the job, flames looks nice but if improve the consumption or speed up the cooking time, I don't know. I think I need to compare normal burner (supplied with cocker) vs this one to get better understanding function of it.
